Wales suffer the loss of Dewi Lake ahead of Autumn Nations Series

Dewi Lake will not be available for Wales in the upcoming Autumn Nations Series after sustaining a shoulder injury while on duty for Ospreys over the weekend.

It is a decidedly inconvenient development for Head Coach Wayne Pivac as he readies his troops for Tests against the All Blacks, Wallabies, Georgia and Argentina.

Without the name of Lake added, the Welsh injury list already does not make for pleasant viewing with the likes of Dan Biggar, Liam Williams, Wyn Jones, Leon Brown, Seb Davies, Johnny Williams, Josh Navidi and Taine Basham all currently unavailable as well.

Lake’s place in the squad has been taken by Ulster’s South African-born hooker Bradley Roberts.
