Wales have been dealt major injury blow with inform try scorer Josh Adams set to miss the rest of the Six Nations with an ankle injury. Adams, Wales' most potent attacking weapon with 10 tries in his last 10 Test matches, fell awkwardly whilst being tackled during Saturday's 27-23 defeat.
He suffered damage to his ankle in the collision and attempted to run it off but couldn't last and was replaced in the next stoppage by Jarrod Evans. Wales Rugby confirmed the news in a brief statement:
"Josh Adams will play no further part in the 2020 Guinness Six Nations following an ankle injury sustained in the match against France."
"He is due to have surgery this week and it is envisaged that he could return in 12 weeks for the latter stages of the Guinness PRO14."
Fortunately for Wayne Pivac, Hallam Amos returned to the squad last week but Adams' absence will be missed ahead of the trip to Twickenham a week Saturday.
