Semesa Rokoduguni’s late try ensured Bath Rugby started the new Aviva Premiership season in winning fashion with a hard-fought 29-20 victory at Sale Sharks on Saturday.
The Fijian-born winger showed exactly why he has received England Saxons recognition with a blistering turn of speed at the death to snatch the points at the AJ Bell Stadium.
Fellow flyer Anthony Watson had given Bath a dream start with a touchdown in the first minute but Mark Jennings hit back before the break.
Mark Easter then smashed over the whitewash to put Sale ahead in the closing stages before Rokoduguni struck.
