Turner-Hall forced into retirement
Harlequins have been dealt a blow before the start of the new season with the news that former England centre Jordan Turner-Hall has been forced to retire through injury.
The 27-year-old has made over 150 appearances for Harlequins and won two Test caps for England during the 2012 Six Nations against Scotland and Italy.
Conor O’Shea, the club’s director of rugby, payed tribute to Turner-Hall after the news was confirmed on Wednesday.
O’Shea said: “Jordan has been a very special person to have around the club and will be missed by us all both on and off the pitch.
“He has played at times with no regard for himself, but always for the team and I know everyone in the club will support him in whatever his future holds.”
Turner-Hall added: “Overall I’ve had so many great memories playing at Harlequins and although my career has sadly had to be cut short due to injury, they are memories that will live with me forever.”
