Toulon complete European hat-trick in classic with Clermont Auvergne

This new competition was in need of a showcase and it got it here as Toulon
completed their hat-trick of European titles with a 24-18 win over Clermont
Auvergne.

The performance was massive in defence and may have been built on
the foundations of their trademark power, but it was also full of
counter-attacking ambition.



Twickenham was a third empty, but those who were here were grandly
entertained.

There were trademark showcase performances from the Englishmen
