Top 5 ball carriers in the Aviva Premiership this season

1. Thomas Waldrom (39)

Thomas 'The Tank' Waldrom is one of the most prolific scorers in the Aviva Premiership but couldn't find a way through a solid Saracens defence, despite having an outstanding 28 carries!

2. Billy Vunipola (36)

Devastating going forward, Vunipola is one of the best ball carriers in the world right now. Made 23 carries last week against Worcester at Twickenham.

3. Luke Cowan-Dickie (30)

Exeter had most of the possession against Saracens despite a 34-13 loss to the Chiefs, Cowan-Dickie tried to find a breakthrough carrying 20 times and eventually got Exeter's only try of the game.

4. Tom Marshall (27)

The former Chiefs and Crusaders is the only back to feature in the top 5 and is 3 carries clear of the closest back.

5. Louis Picamoles/Ben Morgan (25)

Two number 8's feature in the top 5 with both carrying 25 times. Northampton knew what they were getting when they signed Frenchman Louis Picamoles and he seems to be delivering early on for them.
