Tom Cusack re-signs with Brumbies

The Brumbies have continued their recruitment for the 2018 and 2019 Super Rugby season by confirming the re-signing of Canberra-born flanker Tom Cusack

The former Australian Sevens star joined the club at the commencement of the 2017 season and has committed his future to the Brumbies.

The signature of Cusack continues the Brumbies fine tradition of selecting talented home-grown players in their Super Rugby squad.

Schooled at Marist College, Cusack is a Canberra Royals junior players and was with the Australian Sevens program from 2013, competing in the squad that travelled to the 2014 Commonwealth Games and then to Rio for the 2016 Olympic Games.

He represented Australia Schoolboys in 2010 and was a member of the team that played at the 2012 IRB U20 World Cup alongside fellow Brumbies Allan Alaalatoa, James Dargaville Kyle Godwin and Leslie Leulua’iali’i-Makin.


Meanwhile, Brumbies lock Tom Staniforth will sign for the Waratahs for the 2018 Super Rugby season.

The Canberra-born local, who has played 21 times for the club, up to and including Round 15, will swap his hometown for Sydney in a bid to further his career.
