Hala'ufia banned: London Welsh number eight has been hit with a 5 week suspension for pleading guilty for striking. The Tongan was sent off during Welsh's 38-17 Premiership defeat to Leicester at Welford Road after first catching Laurence Pearce with a high tackle before shoving the Tigers lock's head into the ground while he was lying on the ground. This means that the 36 year old will now miss the remaining 2 games for Welsh in the Premiership.
Cooper to return early: Good news for Reds fans as Out-half Quade Cooper is set to return early from injury and return for the Reds clash with the Sharks in 2 weeks. The 27 year old fractured his shoulderblade in April against the Rebels, and wasn't expected back until June. However Cooper has worked hard in his rehab and could feature against the Sharks or return for their final 3 fixtures. "Quade’s recovery has been good and he’s a player who does look after himself physically, At this stage playing the last four games is realistic, certainly the last three", Reds coach Richard Graham said.
