Foley signs deal: Australia international Bernard Foley has signed a new 3 year deal with the ARU. The new agreement sees the 25-year-old current Wallabies fly-half tied down until at least the end of 2018 and ensures he will be eligible for the Wallabies and Waratahs selection in each year of the deal. As part of the flexible contract, Foley will have the chance to spend two seasons playing rugby in the Japan. Foley is one of the first to sign these new contracts with the ARU as they look to stop all their talent moving away from Australia.
Talks for Schmidt: The IRFU have opened up talks with current boss Joe Schmidt about extending his contract. The back to back Six Nations winning coach has been a revelation for Ireland and with his contract coming to an end next year he is sure to be a man in demand. The IRFU are looking to extend his deal to the 2019 World Cup with Chief Executive Phillip Browne confirming talks are under way.
