Robshaw worry: Harlequins head coach Conor O’Shea will be without the services of back row forward Chris Robshaw for this weekend’s round of European Champions Cup action, after the English skipper picked up an injury to his shoulder. According to early reports emanating out of English rugby circles, Robshaw may require surgery in order to repair the damage done over the course of last weekend’s win over Leinster. Robshaw is due to see a specialist later in the week to determine the full extent of the damage and period out of the game, but will indefinitely miss this weekend’s return clash in Dublin. Elsewhere, Nick Evans is also set to miss Saturday’s clash at the Aviva, although his return is expected within two weeks.
Jarvis out: Ospreys fans are waking u to yet more bad news with regards to injury, as it emerges that tight head prop Aaron Jarvis will be out of action for roughly six weeks having torn a pectoral muscle. The injury came while on international duty for Wales against South Africa two weeks back. Having sat out last weekend’s nail biting draw with French outfit Racing Metro, the full extent of Jarvis’ injury has now been determined by specialists. While the scan confirmed that the Welsh international would not require surgery to repair the pectoral muscle tear, six weeks on the sideline for Jarvis only adds to the Ospreys’ front row misery. Already without the services of Nicky Smith, Ryan Bevington and club stalwart Duncan Jones, the remainder of the calendar year could prove a sticky period for the Welshmen. Elsewhere, both Dan Baker and Joe Bearman will be out of action until the New Year.
