Christian Lealiifano named in the first Wallabies squad of the year
Brumbies veteran Christian Lealiifano has been named in the Qantas Wallabies first squad of 2019, after Michael Cheika and the Australian Test selectors confirmed a 34-man squad for the Test against South Africa in Johannesburg on July 20.
The 31-year old joins three potential debutants in the squad with boom number 8 Isi Naisarani as well as rookie backrowers Liam Wright and Rob Valetini looking to earn their first Test cap.
Crusaders re-sign two backline stars
Off the back of a great Super Rugby season and his All Black call up a few days old, Sevu Reece has extended his stay in Christchurch and with the Crusaders until 2021.
David Havili has signed a contract extension with Tasman Mako up until 2021 which will very likely see him staying at the Crusaders too.
Harlequins sign Newcastle's Fijian Superstar Winger
The Harlequins have snapped up the signing of Newcastle Falcons' superstar Fijian back Venreniki Goneva, who was the 2017/18 Premiership player of the season, for the 2019/20 season.
The Fijian winger, who can also play centre, is a prolific try scorer, and will add even more pace and power to Harlequins’ backline.
Clermont confirm four new signings including two Springboks
Clermont have confirmed a further four signings ahead of the cut off date for Rugby World Cup cover signings ahead of the TOP14 season.
The 2018/19 Top 14 finalists have added Springboks JJ Engelbrecht and Rudy Paige to their squad as well as Samoan International Faifili Levave and former Melbourne Rebels and Bath prop Max Lahiff.
