Francois Venter to join Worcester Warriors

Worcester Warriors have confirmed the signing of Springbok and Cheetahs centre Francois Venter, with the centre set to join the English club after the PRO14 season. 

The Cheetahs captain joined Free State side in 2014 after transferring from the Bulls following the 2013 Super Rugby season. Full story

Rassie Erasmus confirmed as new Springbok coach

SA Rugby have confirmed Rassie Erasmus as the new Springbok coach.

Rassie Erasmus will spearhead a streamlined but experienced Springbok management team until the end of the 2023 Rugby World Cup, SA Rugby confirmed on Wednesday, as the former Springbok captain will combine his Springbok coaching duties with his current role as Director of Rugby at SA Rugby. Full story

Saracens sign Blair Cowan on loan

London Irish have confirmed that Blair Cowan has joined Saracens on loan as cover for their current injury crisis. 

Cowan can be recalled on notice as part of the loan agreement. Full story

Chris Farrell's season over

Following further consultation with a specialist, Munster have confirmed that centre Chris Farrell will take no further part in this season’s campaign after sustaining an ACL injury while training with Ireland.

The Irish international, who was named man of the match on his 6 Nations debut against Wales, will undergo surgery before commencing his rehabilitation. Full story

Dave Ewers and Max Bodilly agree new deals at Exeter Chiefs

Exeter Chiefs have confirmed that back-row forward Dave Ewers and centre Max Bodilly are the latest names to put pen to paper on new two-year deals that will keep them at Sandy Park until at least 2020.

Both products of the club’s highly successful academy set-up, with Ewers having helped the club win the 2016/17 Premiership title and has continued to be a vital cog in the Exeter pack. Full story
