Throwback Thursday to last season's Premiership final
With Northampton Saints entertaining Saracens this weekend in the Premiership semi-final we look back at the Saints defeating Saracens in last seasons final. In what was a highly entertaining game of Rugby it will be difficult to see a more dramatic ending to a final. With the game deep into extra-time Saracens were 20-17 ahead going into the final play of the game, Saints had possession as they pushed for a score to level the game. They had the opportunity of a drop-goal to tie the game but instead they opted for the win and Alex Waller was the hero of the hour as he picked the ball up from the ruck and dived for the line with replays showing parts of the ball hit the line and as a result Northampton Saints were champions in a 24-20 scoreline. The game at Franklin Gardens is set to be another closely fought game as both sides look to return to Twickenham in 9 days time.
