The first try of the Super Rugby season did not disappoint!

The Blues and Chiefs kicked off the 2020 Super Rugby season at Eden Park on Friday.

The Blues got off to a wonderful start with USA International Tony Lamborn scoring on his debut for the Auckland-based side.

He ran a nice line off the line break by TJ Faiane to run it in.

Rieko Ioane would score a brace in the first half as the Blues led 19-5 at the break.

The game also saw Harlequins and England centre Joe Marchant make his Super Rugby debut for the Blues.

It was also Warren Gatland's first game in charge of the Chiefs with Aaron Cruden making his return via the bench for the Chiefs.
