The Bulls secured a 43-34 home win over the Jaguares in round 18 of Super Rugby. The Jaguares started like a house on fire, running in three tries in the opening quarter to build a 19-0 lead. The Bulls hit back with two tries to get back into the match and crossed for a third on the stroke of halftime to take a 21-19 lead into the break. An early second half Bulls penalty saw the hosts extend their advantage, but the Jaguares ran in their fourth try soon after to hit the front 26-24. The Bulls bounced back with tries four and five to storm into a ten point lead 36-26. A Jaguares penalty narrowed the gap to seven points, but the Bulls responded immediately with their sixth try to take control of the match 43-29. The Jaguares would score with the final play of the game, but the conversion to sneak a bonus point went wide.
