Super Rugby Final Ratings: Crusaders v Jaguares
- 4007
The Crusaders marched on to their third consecutive Super Rugby title and their 10th overall beating the Jaguares 19-3.
Here are our player ratings from the final.
1. Joe Moody - 6.5
Got shown up in the scrums in the first half and should have been penalised more often. Moody recovered in the second as the Crusaders started to dominate up front.
2. Codie Taylor - 7
Did well to follow up on Sam Whitelock's break to score the first try of the game. Faulted in the lineout in the first half missing his jumper twice. He recovered in the second half putting in a fine shift before making way for Andrew Makalio.
3. Owen Franks -7
Solid first half and did better in the scrum than his loosehead. Franks dominated up front for 15 minutes before he was taken off bring an end to a decade long career with the Crusaders.
4. Mitchell Dunshea - 7
Strong first half fronting up to the Jaguares pack, he continued in that vein to finish with 7 carries and 9 tackles before his night finished in the 60th minute.
5. Sam Whitelock -9
Strong first half making all of his tackles and got stuck into the Jaguares forward before he set up the first try of the game as he sprinted down the wing and put Taylor through.

A few of his lineout calls were a bit off in the first half and did knock on a good throw early in the first half.
His lineout calls got better throughout the game and his leadership was superb as he won his third title as captain in three years.
6. Whetu Douglas - 7
Massive on defence in the first half and continued in that vein in the second. He also carried strongly.
7. Matt Todd - 9
Got through a lot of work but was guilty of a number of missed tackles. He looked to get his hands through the tackles and offload in the first half.
He was stellar over the ball and stopped a number of promising attacks from the Jaguares and was a close contender for the man of the final.
8. Kieran Read - 7
The All Blacks' captain was on the wrong end of a few thumping tackles but soldiered through and making 7 tackles in the first half and 6 carries.
He was solid throughout and had some clever work at the scrum telling Hall and Drummond when to put the ball in which helped the Crusaders dominate in that area of the game in the second half.
9. Bryn Hall - 8.5
Swift passing and some great box kicks. He swept well behind the defence, he did this particularly well in first half when the Jaguares looked dangerous.
Hall was superb but was taken off after 50 minutes for Mitchell Drummond who had a similar strong game.
10. Richie Mo'unga - 8.5
Mo'unga was flawless from the tee and kicked outstandingly to get his side out of a number of touch situations. He carried well to the line and racked up 43 running metres.
11. George Bridge - 7.5
Did the best with the little amount of ball he received. He defended superbly and did well to hold Boffelli up in the second half. He was also brilliant in the air.
12. Jack Goodhue - 8
Relatively quiet in the first half but he did manage to get Ennor in some space and came up with a try-saving interception late on in the second half.
Goodhue was crucial on defence keeping de la Fuente and Orlando quiet throughout. He missed just one of his twelve attempts.
13. Braydon Ennor - 7.5
Got into some space out wide but the Jaguares defence was able to shut him down well. He racked up 54 running metres. Ennor manged to come up with a few turnovers out wide and was relatively well on defence.
14. Sevu Reece - 6.5
Saw little ball and was shut down quickly when he did. He missed a few tackles but was able to get his job done.
15. David Havili
Jaguares
1. Nahuel Tetaz - 5
Massive in the scrums in the first half but Owen Franks worked him out in the second half and was dominated.
2. Agustin Creevy - 6
Creevy was solid throughout, he was good at the set pieces and as per usual he got over the ball well and brought his usual grunt up front.
3. Santiago Medrano - 6.5
Got the better of Joe Moody in the first half but the All Black loosehead found him out in the second and Medrano was guilty of a few infringements in the second.
4. Guido Petti - 6.5
Kept his usual high standard, carried well, tackled well and ran a tidy shift at the lineout and came up with a steal or two at the lineout.
5. Tomas Lavanini - 8
Lavanini was outstanding in the first half topping the tackling stats and really got in the face of the Crusaders.

6. Pablo Matera - 9
Far and away the Jaguares best player of the final and was named man of the match despite his side losing the final.

Matera was simply outstanding, he was all over the field throughout the game. He made 11 tackles and 16 carries and was involved in everything good the Jaguares did.
7. Marcos Kremer - 7
Got through a mountain of work and kept the pressure on the Crusaders lineout and was solid up front.
8. Javier Ortega Desio - 7
Desio completed a strong performance by the Jaguares back row. He was agressive on defence and attack and was another player who was excellent at the lineout.
9. Tomas Cubelli - 5
Cubelli kept the pace of the Jaguares attack but he had an off day with the boot and a number of his kicks went too far or were too short.
10. Joaquin Diaz Bonilla - 6
A few aimless kicks, after starring in this department against the Brumbies. He was taken off after 60 minutes for the young Miotti, who did improve the Jaguares.
11. Ramiro Moyano - 6
Carried well when he did get the ball and defended just as well.
12. Jeronimo de la Feunte - 6.5
Did his job and did it well. He carried strongly but was well met by the Crusaders' defence and moved the ball on well.
Defensively, he made all of his attempted tackles.
13. Matias Orlando - 6
Not as influential as he was in the semi-final. He managed to beat 5 defenders and get Moroni into space but the Crusaders defence was able to limit his impact.
14. Matias Moroni - 8
Another standout performance by the Jaguares winger who made 98 running metres and came close to scoring on two occasions.
15. Emiliano Bofelli - 6
Solid at the back. Kicked, carried and defended well but was guilty of going just too high into contact near the line when he really could have scored.
