Some talking points from round four of the 6 Nations

Are France back to their best?
In what was a disappointing first three games of the championship for France, they got back to winning ways with a comprehensive win over Italy. With Philippe Saint-Andre making eight changes to the side who lost to Wales in round three we were unsure what to expect from the French. However they were able to put in an impressive performance defeating the Italians but now can they continue where they left off and put in another impressive performance against England or will we see their performance drop once again.
Did we see one of the best defensive displays in 6 Nations history?
Wales were the winners on Saturday ending Ireland’s dreams of a Grand Slam in what was an impressive display from Warren Gatland’s side. In particular their defensive display. In what was an important stage in the game Ireland went through 30 phases of play inside the Wales 22 with the Welsh players putting in tackle after tackle in the end getting their reward with Ireland penalised at the breakdown. Moments later, Wales were able to find their way into the Irish 22 where they did what Ireland failed to and Scott Williams dived over for the try. Ireland eventually got a try with 10 minutes to go but Wales were able to see out the game with some more impressive defending.
Will England regret not putting more points on the board against Scotland?
As we enter into the final round of games in this years 6 Nations, England are in the driving seat and are ahead of both Ireland and Wales with a better points difference. However come the end of the three games on Saturday they might regret not securing a more comprehensive win over Scotland. They defeated Scotland 25-13 but had many opportunities to secure more points. They went into the break 13-10 behind despite dominating possession and territory but were not clinical enough in the final third as they butchered far too many try opportunities. Stuart Lancaster will now have his side focused for the France match and he will be hoping his players do enough to secure the championship.
