Just when it looked likely that Alan Solomons, the Edinburgh head coach, would earn a spot of good luck, the injury jinx that has been the story of his side’s season has struck again just as they are heading into the last, everything-to-play-for match against Leinster, the champions.
“At the moment we have only 28 fit players to pick from, excluding the boys with the sevens squad.
We have eight frontline players out, which is a massive injury list,” he said.
