Sir Clive Woodward on shortlist to be France coach

Sir Clive Woodward, the coach who led England to World Cup success in 2003,
emerged yesterday as a surprise contender to try to do the same for France.



France are due to change their coach after this year’s World Cup, when
Philippe Saint-Andre will walk away from the job.

It was reported in the
French media yesterday that Woodward was on a shortlist of eight who are
being considered as Saint-Andre’s successor.



Woodward has not been to France for an interview and neither has he spoken in
person to the French Rugby Federation.
