Season over for Scotland Forward after latest injury setback

Scotland forward Andy Onyeama-Christie will miss the rest of the season after breaking his arm for a third time.

The 27-year-old, capped 10 times by Scotland, is understood to have suffered the injury in Saracens’ Champions Cup defeat to Bath last weekend.

He confirmed the injury on his Instagram account, posting: “Annual injury post, 3rd time lucky with the arm. Remaining hopeful – it’ll get better.”

And in an injury update on Friday morning, Saracens confirmed Onyeama-Christie will miss the remainder of the campaign.

The versatile back-row is no stranger to the treatment room. He suffered a horrific fracture dislocation of his ankle, also on Saracens duty, in October 2024 which kept him out of that year’s Autumn Nations Series.

“That moment was like nothing I have ever experienced before,” he said previously of that horrendous injury.

He also missed the 2023 Rugby World Cup and Scotland’s 2024 summer tour after previous arm breaks.

His latest injury will also likely keep him out of Scotland’s summer fixtures in the inaugural Nations Championship.
