Scotland v France | 5 Things We Learned
- 1332
France walk away with a controversial win in Scotland after the TMo needed to make a decision on a grounding a minute after the 80 minutes had ticked by. Here are the 5 things we learnt
White Chocolate:
Finn Russell is in incredible form and for the second week running showed it with great offloads, attacking the line and perfect kicks.
Scotland unable to crack on:
Scotland have twice been dominant for large periods of the opening two games in the Six Nations and have not been ruthless and destroyed the opposition. They have the players to do so and will be looking to change match outcomes and bag a confident 5 points against England at home at the end of the month.
Playing badly and winning:
France, for a second week running, were unable to show their fans and the world their 2023 and before form. This week they snuck a win and got their campaign up and running ahead of Italy.
Line outs and Scrums Failing:
France have lost the mercurial Antoine Dupont and Romain Ntamack and their absence is visible however that should not impact on their set piece which continues to be an Achilles heel. This is one area they need to address.
Louis Bielle-Biarrey:
He is in scintillating form when it comes to ball in hand but his work rate around the park is impressive too. The UBB winger will be a constant fixture in the French team for many years to come
