Scotland prop Jon Welsh to miss rest of Six Nations

Scotland's Jon Welsh has been ruled out of the rest of the Six Nations after fracturing his hand in Sunday's defeat to Wales at Murrayfield.



The Scottish Rugby Union has confirmed the 28-year-old Glasgow Warrior will now have to undergo surgery and will play no further part in the championship.

Welsh touched down for Scotland in the final seconds but his try was not enough to prevent Wales clinching their eighth successive win over the Dark Blues with a 26-23 victory.



Welsh will now miss the February 28 clash with Italy in Edinburgh, the trip to Twickenham to face England on March 14 …
