South Africans Franco van der Merwe, Louis Ludik and Wiehahn Herbst will make their competitive Ulster debuts in Saturday's Pro12 game at Scarlets.
Van der Merwe plays at lock, Herbst is at tighthead prop and Ludik operates at full-back.
