Muliaina Arrested: In bizarre scenes at Kingsholm yesterday former All Black Mils Muliaina was arrested after the game between Gloucester and Connacht. The former New Zealand All Black centurion was led away from the ground and put into a police van in the minutes after the match concluded and his side Connacht had been knocked out of the competition. The fullback has been arrested in relation to an incident in Cardiff back in March and Gloucestershire police have confirmed they have handed him over to South Wales police. Muliaina featured for Connacht in their loss to Cardiff Blues in the Welsh capital on March 6, but an exact date for the alleged incident is not known at this time and nothing is proven. Connacht have said that Muliaina is working with police on their enquires and that they will make no further comment.
Genia to Stade: Stade Francais have confirmed the signing of Australia scrum-half Will Genia on a 3 year contract. "We can confirm that Will Genia will be part of our squad after the World Cup," Stade Francais president Thomas Savare said on radio France Bleu 107.1. "It's a great signing and one which will strengthen our squad in a vital position." Genia, who was linked with Bath for many months, will join up with the Paris side after the World Cup is concluded.
