Saracens look to Paris after Wembley win over Harlequins

It is remarkable to relate, but for Chris Ashton, next weekend’s European Rugby Champions Cup quarter-final against Racing Métro will represent the high point of his season.

While others have had huge internationals to contemplate this season, Ashton has remained in Test-match purdah since playing in the final match of last summer’s tour of New Zealand.

Watching him score two superbly-taken tries against Harlequins at Wembley, in front of a world-record crowd for a club match, 84,068, made it seem even more remarkable.
