Saracens and Arsenal play a whole new ball game

Saracens warmed up for their Aviva Premiership game against Harlequins at Wembley on Saturday with a skills challenge with several members of Arsène Wenger’s Arsenal squad.

The France forward Olivier Giroud, Germany’s World Cup-winning centre-back Per Mertesacker and the Poland goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny all took part in the cross-code challenge at the Premier League club’s training ground at London Colney.

The trio went head-to-head with the Saracens wing David Strettle and full-back Chris Wyles, both handy footballers, and flanker Kelly Brown, the former Scotland captain.
