Sam James extends Sale Sharks stay

Sale Sharks have today announced that Sam James has signed a new four year deal at the club.

Director of Rugby Steve Diamond said: “Sam is a fantastic young English player, who took his opportunity well  last season. In addition to the Premiership Sam will be playing in the European Champions Cup... I have every confidence he will build on his first full season with us and am sure he will be pushing towards an England call up in the not too distant future.”

The 22 year-old made his Premiership debut for the club back in 2014 against Northampton Saints. He scored seven tries in 24 appearances and helped the club to sixth place in the Premiership and secure a spot in the European Champions Cup.
