Sale stun Saracens at AJ Bell Stadium

Sam James starred for Sale as they managed to secure a home victory against powerhouse Saracens and was named as the man of the match.

James made over 60 running metres beating one defender and making a clean break while also claiming a try assist.

Faf de Klerk provided very good service to his backs and managed the tempo of the game really well, while Denny Solomona scored an absolute cracker of a try before halftime which set the tone for the rest of the game.

The drop of the shoulder is just delightful! 🙌

Tom Curry looked very good and was a menace at the breakdown and weighed in with 20 tackles and 2 clean turnovers.

Saracens being their own worst enemy as ill-discipline and a crumbling scrum was severely punished by Matthew Carley making it extremely difficult for them to build any momentum. Two yellow cards for Saracens didnt help either as this fixture will be one to forget.

Sale start 2019 with an impressive win over the defending Premiership Champions who will look to bounce back in Europe next week,
