Ruan Pienaar joins Montpellier

South African scrum half Ruan Pienaar has officially joined Montpellier for the next three seasons.

Pienaar was part of the Springbok squad that won the 2007 Rugby World Cup in France and joined Pro 12 side Ulster in 2010.

The 33-year-old has played 88 games for South Africa and will bring his experience to an MHR team that will be coached by Vern Cotter, and further strengthened by the return of Louis Picamoles.
