Review: France vs Romania

The French come away bonus point victors in what was, in truth, an underwhelming spectacle. A fiery, first half performance had the Romanians trailing by just nine points in their World Cup 2015 debut. The French, who kicked-off the fixture in a worrying fashion, found their spark in the 30th minute, following the sin-binning of Romanian rugby talisman, Paulica Ion
The second half saw an improved, more clinical France performance, and as Romania tired the fitter French side took full advantage, running in a total of five tries. The French now sit atop Group D after picking up maximum points in their opening two games.
Man of the Match: Wesley Fofana. Guituone and Dulin impressed in blue, whilst Fofana stole the spotlight. After an extended absence from the game, the Clermont flyer instantly recovered his previous form and put up a Man of the Match performance in midfield. Fofana barged over late in the game to secure the bonus point for France and put the result beyond doubt.
