The highest-paid positions in the Premiership has been revealed following the publication of the first Salary Cap Report.
The report covers the 2020/21 season and represents a detailed analysis of the Salary Cap expenditure of our 13 clubs also looks at several key areas:

The report includes the average income of a senior player by position. The averages relate to a players primary position and is determined by where he has played the most number of minutes in Premiership matches.
On average a senior squad player's income was £143,699 for the 2020/21 season. 28% of players earned between £50 000 and £100 000 a season.
According to the report, hookers are the lowest-paid players in the league. The men in the middle of the front row earned £113 115 a season.
On the other end of the scale, flyhalves earned the most in the 2020/21 season averaging £175 679.

FURTHER BREAKDOWN
As mentioned above, 28% of senior players earned between £50 000 and £100 000.
Meanwhile, 21% of flyhalves earned between £30 000 and £50 000, 18% earned the League average between £50K and £100K and 24% earned between 100K and 150K.
However, 11% of flyhalves earned between £200-250K while 18% were among the marquee players who earned £400K plus.
There were no hookers who were signed as marquee players during the 2020/21 season with the highest earners (2%) falling into the £250-300K brackets.
2% of props did fall into the marquee bracket with a further 2% earning between £350-400K. A further 6% fell into the £300-350K bracket and 11% into the £200-250K.
