Record breaker Jordie Barrett inspires victory against Highlanders

Jordie Barrett not only inspired a good victory for the Highlanders for the Hurricanes, but he also scored all of their points and in the process broke the record for points scored in a single Super Rugby Aotearoa match.
Josh Ioane missed and early penalty, before Barrett stepped up and slotted a longe range effort to open the scoring.
Four minutes later, Hurricanes worked a good set piece move off a line to send Barrett over for the opening try. He added the conversion

Hurricanes continued to control the game and Barrett then added another conversion to pile on more misery for the home side as they opened a 20 point lead.
Highlanders started to see more of the ball and were rewarded another try when Connor Garden-Bachop went over after 63 minutes. Ioane missed the conversion.
Highlanders continued to chase the game and with four minutes to go, Thomas Umaga-Jensen went over in the corner. Ioane added the extras.
Highlanders still had a chance for a potential losing bonus-point, but time was running out.
Hurricanes kept Highlanders inside their 22m before winning a late penalty, which Barrett sotted to break the record.
This was the first victory of the season for the Hurricanes.
