RC Toulon sign Italy captain Sergio Parisse following his departure from Stade Francais

Toulon have continued to finalise their squad for next season and have been boosted by the signature of the most capped Italian international, Sergio Parisse.

Stade Francais confirmed, on Friday, that Parisse would leave the club after 15 years in Paris and the veteran loose forward has signed to join Toulon.

The 35-year-old has made 258 appearances for the Top 14 side, scoring 238 points and won three titles with the Paris-based club including two Top 14 titles (2207 & 2015) as well as a Challenge Cup title in 2017.

Parisse has signed a one-year deal with the club and will join the squad following the Rugby World Cup in Japan and currently has 134 test caps for his country and has the unfortunate record of becoming the first player to ever lose 100 test matches.
