PRO14 Round 6: Scarlets v Benetton

A last gasp penalty saw the Scarlets edge Benetton 20-17 in round 6 of the Pro14. The Scarlets opened the scoring with an early try, but Benetton slotted two penalties to trail by a single point 7-6. A Scarlets penalty extended their lead, but Benetton hit back with a try and added another penalty to take a 14-10 lead into the break. A Scarlets try 15 minutes into the second half saw the hosts reclaim the lead 17-14. The Scarlets were on top, dominating both territory and possession but were unable to convert that pressure into points. It nearly came back to bite as a Benetton penalty with 2 minutes to play saw the sides heading for a share of the spoils. However, the Scarlets would have the final say, with a penalty with the final play of the game seeing them sneak the victory to move into second position in Conference B.
