PRO14 Round 2 Highlights: Benetton Rugby v Cardiff Blues
An absolute nail biter of a game that would have kept many on their seats right until the very end. The first half was blow for blow as Benetton managed to convert a penalty in the opening minutes of the game. Cardiff managed to respond in similar fashion through the boot of Jarrod Evans. Tomasso Allan then scored and converted his own brilliantly worked try. The men in the Blue hoops then began to mount on the pressure and were awarded a penalty try followed by two penalty conversions to enter half time with a 16-10 lead.
The next half only took 10 minutes for the Italian men to trouble the scores of which they did through a Sebastian Negri try. The two sides then exchanged penalties and substitute Anscombe added a further two, the latter taking place in the 73rd minute. The visitors would have thought they would have secured victory but in fact with two men in the bin in the last minute of the game and a 5m scrum, the home side dominated and eventually managed to cross over for a try which was well converted.
