Preview: Wales vs Uruguay

Preview: Wales vs Uruguay
In the most competitive group of the tournament Wales kick off the their campaign with arguably the most one sided fixture. With some huge tests in store in this pool the Welsh will be looking for a clinical and ruthless opening performance in the Millenium Stadium.

Uruguay have not competed in the World Cup since 2003 and these two sides have never come face to face in test rugby. For the South American side the World Cup is possibly the biggest stage of their careers so they will relish this opportunity no doubt.

Gatland's men will treat this game as vital preparation for their upcoming clashes with England, Fiji and Australia all of which are set to be massive encounters. With some key players such as Leigh Halfpenny, Rhys Webb and Eli Walker absent due to injury this game also serves as a chance equip for those fixtures.

Key player: Sam Warburton. The Skipper will use this game as crucial game time in order to find the form he will need to lead wales out of the group dubbed "the group of death".

One to watch: Agustin Ormaechea. One of few professionals in the Uruguay setup, a snippy scrum half and a good professional for Uruguay to have. Will impress for the minnows.

BOD's predictions. Wales. Warren Gatland's are clear favourites and should be putting 50+ on Uruguay.
