Premiership Rugby Highlights Sale vs Leicester

Round 18 of the Premiership kicked off with the Sale Sharks moving up to second position in the table after a 26-10 home win over the Leicester Tigers. Sale started strongly, opening the scoring with an early penalty and followed that up with a try shortly after to lead 10-0.

Sale kept the scoreboard ticking over, slotting two penalties to open up a 16 point advantage.

Leicester got on the board with a late first half penalty which saw them trail 16-3 at the break. Sale added an early second half penalty to extend their lead. Sale then picked up two yellow cards in quick succession to go down to 13 players, with Leicester awarded a penalty try to get back into the match at 19-10.

Leicester were unable to capitalize on their numerical advantage, with Sale sealing the victory with their second try with a little over ten minute remaining.
