A testing start to the game before Micky Young combined nicely down the blindside with Alex Tait and Andrew Davidson to give Newcaslte the lead in the 20th minute. Joel Hodgson added a penalty before the Falcons grabbed another try through Simon Hammersley before the break. Leading by 17-0 the Falcons continued to attack while Bath looked like they may start a comeback before the electric Sinoti Sinoti beat two defenders to score in the 60th minute, ultimately putting the game to bed. Josh Bayliss scored a consolation try for the visitors in the 76th minute.
