Premiership Highlights: Leicester Tigers v Harlequins
- 1373
Leicester fully deserved their 33-18 over Harlequins in this Aviva Premiership clash at Welford Road.
It was the visitors who started the game on the front foot however with a superb finish from Alofa Alofa giving Quins an early lead. Leicester responded well and went into the interval 9-8 ahead through the boot of Matt Toomua. Marcus Smith was sent to the sin bin just before halftime for a cynical infringement on the try line.
Despite being a man down, Harlequins bagged the first score of the second half when Luke Wallace got on the end of a looping Aaron Morris pass to power over in the corner.
Leicester really lifted the tempo from here and tries from Toomua, Kitchener and an intercept from Adam Thompstone cemented a 33-18 win for the hosts despite Charlie Matthews also crossing the whitewash as the clock hit 70. FT and Leicester once again dominant at Welford Road
