Premiership Highlights: Bath v Exeter Chiefs
- 1629
Bath bounced back from their thrashing at the hands of Bristol to edge the Exeter Chiefs 13-10 in atrocious weather conditions in round 2 of the Premiership. Bath opened the scoring with an early penalty, but Exeter hit back with the games first try to lead 7-3. An Exeter penalty 5 minutes from halftime extended their lead, but Bath would score a try with the final play of the first half as the sides headed into the break all square at 10-10. The second half followed a similar pattern as the first as both sides looked to keep it tight in the wet and windy conditions. A Bath penalty 16 minutes into the second half saw them sneak in front, a lead they would not relinquish with some strong defensive work keeping the Chiefs at bay.
