Saracens vs Gloucester:

Gloucester will use the Round 4 result as added motivation to get one back on their Saracens rivals when they square up tomorrow.

In a tough clash at Kingsholm, Sarries emerged victorious, 21-12, in the cold and wet after their forwards toiled and sweated up front to lay a workable platform for the win. Gloucester opened their account through a piece of individual brilliance from right winger Tom Marshall who employed pace and fine footwork to dive over. Sarries, however, were not to be denied as they rumbled on to victory, dotting down twice and slotting penalties where Gloucester’s discipline lapsed.

Saracens will be riding high after a good 38-24 win against Harlequins last Saturday while Gloucester will be keen to rectify their 33-24 loss to a rampant Bristol Bears outfit.

If the Gloucester pack are able to step up a gear and form a firm grip on their counterparts, as well as avoiding the shrill blast of the referee’s whistle at the breakdown, they may be in with a shout, although Sarries’ display against Quins will have left Owen Farrell’s charges with confidence.
