  • Kendra Cocksedge and captain Ruahei Demant renew their half-back pairing last seen in the opening win over Australia
  • Stacey Fluhler returns to partner Theresa Fitzpatrick in midfield, having missed the last two matches through injury
  • Two further Tokyo 2020 Olympic gold medallists return with Portia Woodman and Ruby Tui lining up on the right wing and at full-back, completing a formidable back three with Ayesha Leti-I’iga
  • Seven of the starting line-up also started the Pool A encounter with Wales, while Sarah Hirini and Kendra Cocksedge both came off the bench at Waitakere Stadium on 16 October
  • Co-captain Kennedy Simon is named in a match-day squad for the first time at RWC 2021, the flanker taking a place on the bench after recovering from injury
