Player Movements: Edinburgh

Having lost 11 players this year, Edinburgh's squad will be boosted by their 12 new signgins for the upcoming season.

The players that will take their boots to Murrayfield Stadium for 2016/17 are:

Duncan Weir (signed 24 January 2016 from Glasgow Warriors)

Weir made his 100th appearance for the Warriors off the bench in January’s 22-5 European win over Racing 92 at Kilmarnock.

He is Scotland’s second choice No 10 and has 21 caps for Cambuslang RFC.

Rory Scholes (signed 2 March 2016 from Ulster)

Belfast-born Scholes made nine appearances for Ireland's Under-20s and has scored five tries in his 13 Ulster games this season.

He has not been a regular starter for Ulster but hopes he will be given more game time at Edinburgh.

Glenn Bryce (signed 22 March 2016 from 2016)

Bryce came through the ranks in lower league rugby in Scotland, playing for Alloa, Stirling County, and he has also represented Jersey and Doncaster in the English league system.

He joined Glasgow's professional squad at the start of the current season and scored four tries in 13 appearances.

He joins Edinburgh after being with the Warriors since the start of the 2014-15.

Junior Rasolea (signed 25 March 2016 from Western Force)

Rasolea has played for Australia Sevens and previously represented Fiji at Under-20 level.

Having graduated from Anglican Church High School, the same school as both Quade Cooper and David Pocock, Rasolea joined the Force in 2013.

Bryce has only been playing professional rugby since February 2014, but has been involved in a professional set-up since the beginning of the 2013–14 season.
