Pat Lambie set to join Racing 92

Patrick Lambie has been granted an early released from his Sharks and Springboks contracts and will join Racing 92 as he seeks a fresh start.

According to The Mercury newspaper, Lambie's move is set to be made official on Monday, with both the Sharks and Springboks having agreed to allow the 26-year-old to take up a three-year deal in France.

Lambie's career has been plagued by injuries and concussion over the past couple of years, and it's reported that the Sharks were never going to stand in his way.

The good news for Springbok fans is that Lambie will still be eligible for Bok selection due to having played more than 30 Tests.

It is understood that Lambie wants a fresh start and believes a geographical relocation might be just the tonic needed to change his fortunes.

Lambie amassed over 100 caps for his beloved Sharks, whom he joined straight out of school. He has 56 Bok caps to his name and will be desperate to add to that tally.
