Bedford Blues have continued their preparations for the new campaign with two more names added to the squad list.
Making a very welcome return to Goldington Road will be second rower Jordan Onojaife while Huw Worthington has put pen-to-paper on a new deal to remain a Blues player in 2019/20.
Onojaife, 23, spent five seasons at Franklin’s Gardens, featuring for their first team on a number of occasions as well as being a crucial figure in their A League side.
His family originally moved to Dubai when he was 13 and was in the Middle East that he started playing rugby at Jumeirah College. On his return to the UK, Jordan joined the Northampton Saints Academy and moved through the ranks, most notably as a member of their Aviva Premiership winning squad in 2014.
Before his first stint at Bedford, Jordan also featured on loan for Rotherham and Moseley as well as playing for England Under 18s and Under 20s before heading to Vallis Way last summer.
Worthington moved to Bedford midway through the 2017/18 Championship season and so impressive were the former RGC 1404's number 8s appearances that he was re-signed for the following campaign.
The 24-year-oldhad been an integral part of the RGC team which was battling for the top spot in the Welsh Principality Premiership and had attracted attention from a number of Championship clubs, but it was Bedford that he chose and he quickly immersed himself into the Blues way of life making his debut in the British & Irish Cup clash with Munster A.
