Noa Nakaitaci Signs on the line with Toulon
- 1018
The Rugby Club Toulonnais continues its recruitment. Noa Nakaitaci, the French international winger and JIFF, joins the Rugby Club Toulonnais as Joker World Cup.
Arrived from Fiji in Clermont in 2010, thanks to the Nadroga Academy (like his future teammate Setariki Tuicuvu), the three-quarter JIFF is revealed in Auvergne. For 7 seasons, he established himself as an essential part of the Clermont back lines, playing nearly 140 TOP 14 and Champions Cup matches. Author of 44 tries, he is a formidable finisher.
At the same time, he refused the Fijian selection in favor of the XV of France, the national team of the country which trained him and gave him his chance. He knows his first gathering in Blues in 2013 and his first official cape in Rome in 2015 against Italy. He will wear the tricolor jersey 15 times.
In 2018, Noa Nakaitaci left ASM Clermont-Auvergne, after having expanded his record with a French championship title, to join LOU Rugby, and actively participated in the rise of the Lyon club. He won, in particular, the EPCR Challenge Cup in 2022, at the Orange Vélodrome, against the Rugby Club Toulonnais.
Pierre Mignoni, his former Manager in Lyon and current Director of Rugby at Rugby Club Toulonnais said: “ We need the qualities of a player like Noa, on the wing and in the centre. He knows the requirements of the TOP14 well, comfortable in aerial duels, able to perform off-loads in defense and an excellent finisher . »
