Tom Collins
Three first half tries for the Saints winger helped his side to a comfortable lead at half time. He possesses a killer turn of pace and showed his finishing ability to devastating effect in a memorable first forty. Collins ran for a gain of 155 metres, beat six defenders, made two clean breaks and touched down for three tries.
Tane Takulua
The Tongan half back was at the fore front of the Newcastle fight back and scored an important second half try to get his side back into the contest. Takulua was dangerous throughout and provided his side with direction and a threat around the fringes.
Taqele Naiyaravoro
The summer signing from NSW Waratahs continues to shine in his first season with the club. The Wallaby is a ball carrying nightmare for the opposition, his physical frame and ability to offload make it extremely difficult to nullify his threat. He created a try for Collins in the first half, ran for a gain of 120 metres, made two clean breaks and beat five defenders.
