New Head of Athletic Performance appointed

The IRFU and Leinster Rugby have today confirmed that Charlie Higgins has joined the province as Head of Athletic Performance.

"This is a hugely important appointment and I am delighted that Charlie has decided to join us in Leinster. It is no easy decision to relocate to another country but he is looking forward to the challenge," commented Leinster Rugby Head Coach Leo Cullen.

"He has settled into the role already and it was a very good first week under his direction. Charlie brings with him a wealth of experience in both the northern and southern hemisphere and we look forward to working with him in the coming months and years.”

The 43-year-old joins Leinster from Super Rugby where he was Head of Athletic Performance with the Western Force and replaces Dan Tobin who has joined Gloucester Rugby.
