Edinburgh have announced that scrum-half Edinburgh has signed a new two-year deal with the club, having joined in 2015 from Sale Sharks.
Folwes has made 25 appearances for Edingburgh so far and looks to add to his tally and had this to say on signing his deal:
“I feel that the club is moving in the right direction and there’s a lot to look forward to in the next few years. I’m delighted to be staying."
“We’re developing well as a team, in the way we want to play the game and the speed we want to play at, which is exciting for the players and fans."
“The three of us [scrum-halves Fowles, Sam Hidalgo-Clyne and Sean Kennedy] work really well with each other in that competitive environment, always pushing each other.
"It’s good for the team, as well as individually, as it keeps us all on our toes. We know when we get a shot we’ve got to play well.”
Duncan Hodge, Acting Head Coach:
"We’re delighted with the way Nathan’s game is developing and, as coaches, we know he has a lot more to offer Edinburgh over the coming seasons."
“He works extremely hard in training and is always looking to learn from those around him, whether that be coaches or other players. "
“We’re in a good position in terms of competition at scrum-half with Nathan, Sam [Hidalgo-Clyne] and Sean [Kennedy] working well together to develop each other’s game while vying for the starting spot each week.”
