Nalaga in RWC fitness race

Fiji have been handed an injury concern with the news that Napolioni Nalaga may not be fit for the Rugby World Cup.

The 21-Test winger, who has scored nine tries, picked up an injury during the Pacific Nations Cup.

The nature of Nalaga’s injury hasn’t been disclosed but the it’s been suggested that the Lyon star may not recover in time.

Fiji are set to confirm their final World Cup squad later this week.

“I think I will wait for the full medical diagnosis," said Fiji head coach John McKee.

"But I think at this stage, it will keep him out of contention for the 31 but it doesn’t discount him being a standby player to come in if we have an injury.”
